Stereomicroscopes have two oculars, one for each eye to enable stereo viewing. The range of magnification for most microscopes is between 10 x and 40 x. The magnification required for insemination is 10 x to 15 x (i.e. ocular 10 x with an objective 1,5 will enable an enlargement of 15 x). A working space of 90 to 110 mm is preferable.<\/p>\n

Be sure the microscope and instrument you choose are compatible and allow adequate working space for the syringe. Not all types of microscopes are suitable to use with the [insemination instrument->insemination-instruments].<\/p>\n

Additional eyepiecec\/oculars allow for a wider range of magnification options. For example with the ocular paar of 15x you can achieve a final magnification of 45x.<\/p>\n
